KINABATANGAN – UMNO leaders have always practised the approach of reaching out to the people, and it is not merely done during the election season, says Kinabatangan UMNO Division chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
“UMNO leaders go down and work together and discuss with the people if they find that there is a problem in a particular area,” he said during an event held in conjunction with the opening of Datuk Pangiran Galpam Hall in Kampung Lanut Suan Lamba near here, today.
He said there should be mutual understanding between the people and the government so that every effort can be made to solve the people’s problems and bring about development.
Bung Moktar, who is also Kinabatangan Member of Parliament, said the constituency, which encompasses 27 islands as well as the 570km-long Sungai Kinabatangan, was bigger than the state of Pahang, posing a challenge to the government to achieve rapid development.
However, he said, the government was always looking out for the well-being of the people and the people must also understand that leaders were working tirelessly to identify their each and every need, adding that the projects were delivered based on priority and urgency.- BERNAMA
