Subra to strengthen MIC and prepare for GE14

Datuk Seri' Dr. S. Subramaniam, Acting MIC President with fellow Barisan Nasional component party leaders at Prime Minister's Office Putrajaya yesterday.

Putrajaya, 15 August 2015 (MyTimes) – In what has come as a full fledged recognition, Datuk Seri’ Dr S.Subramaniam was invited as the head of Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) for the Barisan Nasional component party heads meeting yesterday.

Prime Minister Dato Seri’ Najib Tun Abdul Razak, the chairman of Barisan Nasional, presided the meeting yesterday in the Prime Minister’s Office, Putrajaya. Also attending the meeting were Dato Seri’ Tengku Adnan, Secretary General of UMNO and Barisan Nasional.

Datuk Seri’ Dr. S. Subramaniam has been given the honour and responsibility to put right and bring the party back to its glorious form ahead of the next general elections.

With Sarawak state elections also around the corner, Dr. S. Subramaniam who is also the Health Minister, has been given the mandate by the Prime Minister, the coalition party Barisan Nasional and also MIC party members to bring the 67 year old party, to greater heights.

PM has requested Dr. S.Subramaniam to execute the re-elections, and concentrate on increasing the confidence of Indian voters, particularly in MIC and Barisan Nasional. The recent cabinet reshuffle, which also saw the drop of Datuk Seri G.Palanivel, was an obvious move to strengthen the party and the government. Palanivel was seen to have been the cause behind the crisis in MIC and has ceased to be a member and President of MIC as a result. – MyTimes
