Students run out of classrooms following 3.5 magnitude tremor in Ranau

KOTA KINABALU, June 23, 2015:A 3.5 magnitude tremor at 10.54am today forced hundreds of students at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Mohamad Ali in Ranau to run out of their classrooms for safety.No casualties were reported.Ranau Fire and Rescue Services Department chief Jimmy Lagung in confirming this said the weak earthquake also caused the roofing on the school library to collapse.“Students were asked to rest at the school field, which is the only open space within the vicinity,” he said.It was learnt that over 20 schools were damaged following the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Sabah about three weeks ago.
