KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd is targeting to fast track the listing of its infrastructure unit Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas) as soon as next year.
The largest fund management in the country is in the midst of acquiring Sistem Lingkaran Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd (SILK) highway.
“Acquisition of SILK Highway would expand our infrastructure portfolio and fast track the listing of Prolintas,” PNB Group chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar said at a briefing here on Monday.
He said prior to the acquisition of SILK Highway, PNB was planning the listing of Prolintas in 2020.
“It will depends on when we can complete the acquisition of SILK Highway. We are targeting the listing of Prolintas in end-2018 or at least by early 2019,” Wahid said.
Currently, Prolistas owns three highways. They are Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE) and the Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway (LKSA).
It is also building two highways – Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) and Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH).
Wahid said PNB is not looking to buy any more highways in Malaysia after its SILK Highway acquisition.-STAR
