Kuala Lumpur – Last month Datuk Seri G. Palanivel blamed Barisan Nasional for interfering in MIC’s matters but today, his men are pleading with the Prime Minister to mediate in the party’s re-elections.
The party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) member Datuk G. Kumar Aaman made the plea.
He claimed the party’s internal fight had got out of hand and a mediation was needed to ensure fair and transparent party elections.
“We are asking for the Prime Minister, BN leaders or the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to help save MIC and oversee the party re-elections.
“Whatever the election result is, there should be no more dispute and the loser should work with the winner and support the Prime Minister,” he said at a press conference at the MIC headquarters here today. – The Rakyat Post
