KUALA LUMPUR: The mystery surrounding Kim Jong-nam’s assassination continues to deepen as the nation’s top-cop refused to make any statement pertaining to it, citing “something is going on”.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar today told the media that he would not answer any questions relating to the case.
“I do not want to make any statement that may jeopardise on-going plans.
“Please be patient. When the time comes, statement will be made… if not from the police, then from other parties,” he said.
Khalid told the media that they would have to wait for further developments, but hopefully not for long.
He was speaking at a press conference after attending ‘Bingkisan Kaseh’ ceremony at Menara Miti here.
During the ceremony, Khalid was awarded the ‘Satria Negara’ award from the ‘Orang Kota Bharu’ association.-NST
