The third edition of the Selangor Manual Guideline and Selangor State Planning Standard will be reviewed following news reports claiming that the guidelines recommended many new rules for new non-Muslim places of worship.

This includes a recommendation that non-Muslim places of worship should not be built within 50m of a home owned by Muslims and that planned new non-Muslim places of worship in areas with a multi-racial make up require the consent of residents within a 200m radius.

Other recommendations include height restrictions, that new non-Muslim places of worship must be lower than the nearest mosque, and that new non-Muslim places of worship cannot be built in commercial areas.

The third edition of the Selangor Manual Guideline and Selangor State Planning Standard can be purchased from the Selangor Town and Country Planning Department for RM200. – Malaysiakini

  1. To selangor goverment. In malaysia , we no need any guidelines for built a mosque , temple or church. If mosque higher then hindu temple it didnt mean the muslims in god secure. Temple, mosqure are the place to surrender our ego, status, anger ,power and so on from your mind to become god servant. It means purify your body inner soul. Coz of some arrogant brain mind and fanatic in religion some kind of a mass thing will happen. Temple or mosque is not important at the moment or forever. Think n talk about education, job, understanding of each others, survival, agriculture, development n so on. There is only one sun, one sky, onr air, one water and one earth. No one knows its belongs to whom. For every radiant soul in this world I would like to highlights this importent message. The nature of the world always gives us ocksigen to breath without selecting any religion or mankind. So who is god servent to god and always purifying their soul ????.
